CERAMIC MEASURING DEVICE WITH HIGHER SERVICE STRENGTH

PURPOSE:To improve the service strength of a ceramic measuring device by fitting a reinforcing metal plate into a specified surface free from disturbing measurement with the ceramic measuring device. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular recess 3 is provided on the top surface 2 of a body 1 free from disturbing measurement with a ceramic straight ruler A. The shape of a reinforcing metal plate 4 comprising an aluminum plate or the like corresponds to that of the recess 3. This reinforcing metal plate 4 is fitted into the recess 3 through an adhesive 5 and fastened firmly on the body 1. With such an arrangement, embrittlement to impact, a drawback of the ceramic measuring device can be made up for to enhance the service strength thereby preventing breakage and rupture caused by carelessness or the like during the use. The reinforcing metal can serve as name plate.
