PURPOSE:To relieve a bubble memory element that is so far processed as an element containing a chip defect by forming a boot loop with plural minor loops and concentrating the functions of the boot loop to the head block. CONSTITUTION:A bubble memory controller reads the defective loop information of slave boot loops (b), (c)- out of a master boot loop (a). Then the defective loop information on the minor loops constituting blocks No. 1, No. 2- are read into an RAM of the controller from the loops (b), (c)- while jumping over a defective loop C. Thereafter the information is written and read out in the same way as conventional. In such a way, a bubble memory element is available as long as just the master loop is nondefective. Thus it is possible to relieve a considerable number of the bubble memory element which are so far processed as defective element. |
