Magazine for storing slides and making them available for projection, having a multiplicity of compartments, arranged parallel to one another, for accommodating the slides, between which dividing webs bounding the compartments for the slides are arranged, and having at least one serrated strip, which enables the stepwise transport of the magazine and extends over the entire length thereof, and can be brought into engagement with a transport toothed wheel which is arranged on the projector side, and in which two slide compartments 12 are arranged per spacing of the teeth 15 of the serrated strip 13 or per switching step length of the magazine motion, and the serrated strip 13 is mounted capable of being displaced forwards or backwards on the magazine 11 in its longitudinal direction by a half spacing of the teeth or of the switching step length, and is mounted capable of being fixed or latched. <IMAGE>
