PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having high heat resistance durable to high-pressure steam sterilization, high transparency, etc. and excellent feeling, by the graft copolymerization of vinyl chloride monomer in the presence of a vinyl ester/ethylene copolymer and a thermoplastic polyurethane. CONSTITUTION:The objective material is prepared by reacting (A) vinyl chloride monomer or a mixture of vinyl chloride and other vinyl monomer (e.g. vinyl acetate) copolymerizable therewith (the amount of the component A is 30- 70wt% based on the produced graft copolymer) in the presence of (B) 40- 70pts.wt. of a vinyl ester/ethylene copolymer (preferably a vinyl ester content of 80-50wt%) and (C) 60-30pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyurethane (preferably having an average molecular weight of >=500), and preferably, treating the obtained graft copolymer with hot water of 110-140 deg.C to remove the soluble components and unstable components from the copolymer. |
