<p>PURPOSE:To aim at a distinct improvement in the efficiency of dust collection, by installing an ambipolar corona discharge part which electrifies particles in both positive and negative charges, a turning device so swirl exhaust gas and a choke device all at the upstream side of a filter which collects particles in the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:In piping 1 feeding exhaust gas inclusive of particles to a filter, there are provided with an insulator 2 and an ambipolar corona discharge part 4 consisting of a discharge pole 3 embedded in this insulator, and with DC high voltage or AC high voltage impressed, positive and negative corona discharge is produced, electrifying the particles into both positive and negative charges. At the downstream side, a guide vane 5 is installed, and a turning stream is given is given to the exhaust gas whereby these particles and blown off against an inner wall of the piping 1 by dint of centrifugal force. Then, the exhaust gas' flow is contracted at an orifice part 6 made up at the downstream side of the guide vane 5, and two types of positive and negative particles are put together by means of electrostatic attraction, thus they are flocculated.</p> |
