Method pertaining to production of moulded elements from fibre-reinforced plastic, in which fibrous reinforcement material is placed in a recess in a die 9, 10, 11 consisting of one or more parts. The recess in the die is then closed off by means of a form cap 12, which is movable relative to the die, for the formation of a form chamber. A solidifying plastics composition in liquid form is introduced into the form chamber and subjected therein to such pressure that an essentially complete filling of the form chamber is obtained, which chamber is thereafter kept closed until the plastics composition has at least partly solidified. To enable the use of dry reinforcement and increase the capacity of a forming apparatus, the reinforcement material 4 is placed in the recess in the die lying in prepared position in a thin- walled lining 1, 2 designed for the said recess, which lining, after a forming operation, is removed and replaced by a similar lining with new reinforcement. The said lining is expediently formed by a recess 2 in an easily manageable tray 1. The invention also relates to a device for use in implementation of the method. <IMAGE>
