PURPOSE:To increase the frictional resistance of a molten steel and to prevent the penetration and outflow of the molten steel by providing ruggedness on one of the contact surfaces between a pair of circulating bodies positioned oppositely to each other and a pair of side face cooling bodies which close both side faces of the circulating bodies. CONSTITUTION:Ruggedness is provided on at least one of the contact surfaces between a pair of circulating bodies 1, 1' which circulate while maintaining a gap for holding the molten steel to be cast for a specified distance and are disposed oppositely to each other, and a pair of side face cooling bodies 13 which are positioned in the edge parts on both sides of the circulating bodies. The ruggedness provided on the surfaces where the bodies 1, 1' and the body 13 are in contact with each other is formed of at least >=1 grooves in parallel with the moving direction of the bodies 1, 1', whereby the frictional resistance of the molten steel is increased. |
