PURPOSE:To cut a wire rod to a desired length in accordance with feeding speed and to increase productivity of correction by clamping a corrected wire rod, sending it to a gripper device and cutting it, and at the same time, providing a means that changes the moving distance of the gripper hood. CONSTITUTION:A wire rod W corrected by two correcting devices is sent to a gripper hood device 5. Gripper blocks 49, 48 of the first gripper device 3 are moved in opposite direction by rotation of a swinging rotation shaft 47 and the wire rod W is clamped and carried. At this time, the wire rod W is brought to an unclamped state by the second gripper device 4. After lapse of set time, the wire rod W is clamped by gripper blocks 48, 49 of the second gripper device 4. The first gripper device 3 is made unclamp state and the wire rod W is cut by cutters 57, 58. In this device, timing is set steplessly according to the diameter and state of bending of the wire rod during correcting operation of high speed feeding. |
