PURPOSE:To raise the stability of steering during the turning period by a method in which working oil pressure of a power steering device is detected, the supply of pressure oil to the power cylinder is controlled according to the variation in the resistance of steering, and the variation in the steering resistance is controlled. CONSTITUTION:The supply current to a pilot motor 86 and a solenoid 72a is controlled by a controller 62. When the front wheels are steered, corrected amount of steering of the rear wheels is calculated from the steering angle of the front wheels and vehicular speed by the controller 62 and given to the pilot motor 86, and an oil pressure is generated by the pilot pump 64 according to increase in the corrected amount. The oil pressure is given to a switching valve 52 to move a spool 52e, and the rear wheels are stroked by the corrected amount. The area of the path of oil pressure line is changed with the position of the spool 52e and the respondence of steering is varied. The spool 52e is determined by the pilot pump 64, oil pressure by the asisting force of the front wheel power steering, and the action of the solenoid valve. |
