PURPOSE:To avoid the breakdown of data or the mechanical breakdown of a magnetic head due to a misoperation by preventing the up-down movements of the magnetic head in case said up-down movement is impossible while the head is loaded and a magnetic disk is not held. CONSTITUTION:It is impossible for a head load arm 11 to move down even though a solenoid 14 is energized before a slide plate 15 is moved forward with push of a button 24 since a projected piece 11a of the arm 11 is set on a projected bar 15c of the plate 15. Therefore a magnetic head never touches a magnetic disk 3 and other parts. When the arm 11 is set at a down position, the piece 11a is fitted into projected pieces 15b and 15c of the plate 15. Thus it is impossible to shift the plate 15 and impossible to pull out the disk 3. |
