PURPOSE:To obtain a closely contacted metallic container without generating buckling or creases in case of joining open ends of upper and lower pieces through a layer of organic adhesive by reducing the diameter of the end of pieces to make the fitting of the two pieces a specified condition. CONSTITUTION:An open end 11b1 of a cylindrical body 11b of an upper piece 11 and an open end 12b1 of a cylindrical body 12b of a lower piece 12 having a bottom 12a are overlapped through an organic adhesive 13 and thermally bonded and a side joint part 14 is formed to obtain a metallic container 10. At this time, in the open end of one of the two pieces, the reduction of diameter is so performed that fitting degree R defined by R=[1-D2/(D1+2t)]X100% in regulated to 0.03-0.8 where D1 is the average outer diameter of the open end, D2 is the average outer diameter of the open end of another piece and (t) is the thickness of the layer of the organic adhesive. By this condition, a metallic container 10 in which a sound side joint part 14 is formed at the fitting part of two pieces 11, 12 can be obtained. |
