PURPOSE:To enable continuous manufacture of coil springs high in dimensional accuracy by providing winding tools in radial direction on a forming tool setting board in front of a sending-out port of wire rod for spring, and moving them linearly at a specified angle. CONSTITUTION:In the body of a coil spring manufacturing machine in which various forming tools 5 are provided radially around a wire rod guide 2, winding tools 7 are arranged radially on the forming tool setting board 8 around a sending-out port 6 similarly to the forming tools 5. Reference plane for setting the winding tools 7 is arranged at right angles to the direction of sending out of the wire rod 4 for spring, and the position of a small diameter winding plane 10 or a large diameter winding plane 9 of the winding tools is slid to the front of the sending-out port 6. This operation is controlled properly by a controlling device 23 to make winding of small radius of curvature or winding of large radius of curvature. Thus, the coil springs are manufactured continuously. |
