PURPOSE:To enable alkaline earth metal oxide having high electron emissive intensity to be formed, by adding, as the ingredient of electrodeposition solution, an electrolyte containing an alkaline earth metal carbonate which is a principal component of electron emissive substance, and ammonium salt of specified composition. CONSTITUTION:An alkaline earth metal carbonate which becomes an electron emissive substance and a binder are added into the organic solvent containing ketones such as methyl ethyl ketone or the like and alcohols such as iso-propyl alcohol or the like in order to prepare the electrodeposition solution. Organic glass made of methyl polymethacrylate or the like is used as the binding agent in consideration of affinity with the alkaline earth metal carbonate. Ammonium salt represented by formula I , alkyl amide represented by formula II acting as organic electrolyte having affinity with organic glass, and alkyl amide represented by formula III acting as electrolyte are added into this electrodeposition solution. Consequently, discharge current of high intensity can be taken out, and a linear filament of high performance can be obtained. |
