PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a delay line by selecting optimizingly the operating condition of a sampling pulse which impresses a transfer electrode impressed with the transfer clock in common to the final transfer electrode adjacent to an output section of a horizontal section to an ID of a CCD 1H delay line adjacent to an input section. CONSTITUTION:The horizontal transfer section 9 of a CCD image pickup element is constituted by plural transfer electrodes 10, 11. Two phase transfer clocks phi1, phi2 are impressed to transfer electrodes 10, 11. The transfer channel of the CCD 1H delay line 6 consists of plural transfer electrodes 14, 15. The clocks phi1, phi2 in common to the CCD image pickup element are impressed to the transfer electrodes 14, 15. In the CCD 1H delay line 6, the number of the electrodes 14 is used more than that of the electrode 15 by one so as to impress the transfer clock phi2 in common to the transfer electrode adjacent to the output section 13 of the CCD image pickup element to the transfer electrode adjacent to the gate electrode G2. The delay line is not required by selecting optimizingly the operating condition of a sampling pulse phis impressed to the ID of the delay line 6. |
