PURPOSE:To constitute compactly a titled device by constituting it so that a platen for a book original can be used in common with exposure scanning of a sheet original, and executing the exposure scanning of the sheet original under carrying on the platen being in a home position. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet original 42 is inserted from a sheet original inserting port 39, it is fed between guide plates 27, 31 by a feed roll 30 and a ball 28, and stops temporarily. Subsequently, when it is synchronized with a photoreceptor and reaches an original carrying port 40, it passes through on an exposure scanning optical system 35 by a carrying belt 25, and is discharged. In case of a book original, it is placed on a platen 21 by opening a platen cover 22, and thereafter, when the platen cover 22 is closed, the carrying belt 25 presses and holds the book original. Subsequently, when a print start signal is generated, the lower guide plate 31 is shunted from a moving path of an original placing plate, the original placing plate moves in the direction B, one end (a) of the platen 2 moves to a point going slightly beyond the exposure scanning optical system 35, subsequently, it is inverted, is synchronized with the photoreceptor, passes through on the exposure scanning optical system 35, and when the other end (b) reaches the exposure scanning optical system 35, it is inverted agains in the direction B and is returnd to the initial position, and the lower guide plate 31 is also reset to the original position. |
