PURPOSE:To obtain more accurate measured data in the burning characteristic test of a propellant by a structure wherein the outer periphery of a motor case is covered with heat insulating material and at the same time a means for holding a rocket motor at a predetermined temperture by cooling and heating is arranged onto said periphery. CONSTITUTION:A heating pipe 9 and a cooling pipe 10 are spirally wound around the outer peripheral part of a motor case 1. An outer peripheral cover 11 is positioned by fitting a shell part 11c to both of a front and a rear side plates 11a and 11b through brackets 12a and 12b between said side plates 11a and 11b. Furthermore, the heating pipe 9 and the cooling pipe 10 are connected to a boiler 9a, a control valve 9b and a cooler 10a and a control valve 10b, all of which are a part of a temperature control device. In addition, heat insulating material 13 is packed within the outer peripheral cover 11. Due to the structure as mentioned above, the temperature of the motor case 1 is held at a set state for performing a burning test of a propellant 14. Accordingly, more accurate data on the propellant 14 can be measured. |
