PURPOSE:To provide a refrigerator oil composition which is thermally and chemically stable in the presence of a halogen-containing refrigerant carrier and has high-level lubricating and sealing properties, prepared by adding glycidyl (alkyl) acrylate to a mineral oil or a synthetic oil. CONSTITUTION:The refrigerator oil composition is prepared by adding 0.001- 101pts.wt. compd. of the formula (where R is H or 1-5C alkyl [e.g. blycidyl (meth)acrylate or glycidyl ethylacrylate] to 100pts.wt. mineral oil (e.g. lubricating oil fraction of naphthenic mineral oil, intermediate mineral oil or paraffinic mineral oil) and/or synthetic oil (e.g. straight-chain or branched alkylbenzene, polybutene or polyglycol oil). It has high stability in a refrigerant carrier atmosphere, controls generation of HCl and prevents corrosion of an interior of the refrigerator. |
