PURPOSE:To obtain a stable, high-precision magnetic read head by forming a bridge of magneto-resistance effect elements in one head and using this bridge circuit. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic sensor 5 and its bearing resistance 6, and bridge resistances 7 and 8 are formed in one head 30. Those elements constitute the DC bias bridge circuit to read variation of a magnetic field from a magnetic storage medium 9 by an output (e) in the form of variation in the resistance of the magneto-resistance effect element 5. Thus, the need for a variable resistance for adjusting the balance of the bridge is eliminated and the constituent resistances of the bridge use the same material to reduce temperature drift. Therefore, the stable and high-precision magnetic read head is obtained. |
