PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a main body to an H-sectioned half as great as usual by providing a thin upper base plate, lower base plate, and attachment plate in the H-sectioned main body, and arranging a driving motor, head mechanism, collect mechanism, etc., in its space. CONSTITUTION:The thin upper base plate, lower base plate, and attachment plate 6 made of iron are provided in the main body 1 which is almost H- sectioned. A driving motor 3 as the driving source for a floppy disk is fitted on the reverse surface side of the main body 1 and the head mechanism 106 is arranged in level with it. The collet mechanism 7, a head loading mechanism, and an operation lever are coupled with the attachment plate 6, a shaft for operating the collet mechanism, etc., is attached, and a stepping motor for the head mechanism is fitted to a side surface. This arrangement reduce the thickness of the main body 1 to a half (41.3mm.) as great as usual to reduce the size of the whole device greatly. |
