Balancing and transformation element for connecting radio-frequency lines

Balancing and transformation elements are used in radio-frequency technology for matching coaxial radio-frequency lines to balanced double lines. For low-error matching with little frequency dependency, a balancing and transformation element is proposed which is formed by a continuous transition of the coaxial line into the balanced double line. The outer conductor (11) of the coaxial cable is in this case separated in the axial direction at least in its region facing the coaxial line, and is continuously expanded. The inner conductor (12) is passed out through the longitudinal opening (15) which is thus formed. The length of the transition element thus formed may amount to approximately half a wavelength. <IMAGE>
