The invention is a system for transferring mining waggons in underground mines, having two sections of track laid parallel one next to the other. Between the two sections of track, a transfer track is provided for a transfer waggon which can be moved along the sections of track. The transfer waggon has a lifting device with a carrying device which can be extended on both sides of the transfer waggon transversely to the direction of the track and under the respective mining waggon to be transferred. The carrying device can be raised by means of the lifting device and moved with the mining waggon lifted off from one section of track from one extended final position into the other extended final position via the other section of track. Here, the mining waggon can be set down onto this section of track by lowering the lifting device or carrying device. With the mobile transfer waggon the need for costly shunting operations, which would otherwise be necessary, is eliminated. <IMAGE>
