A mixing circuit is proposed which is suitable for the frequencies of the VHF range and which has a sensitivity gain of around 3 dB. The mixing circuit contains a double-gate MOS field-effect transistor (15) to whose source terminal (14) and second gate terminal (17) the received frequency (fOE) is supplied. The oscillator frequency (fOS) is applied to the first gate terminal (20) and the intermediate frequency (fIF) is available on the drain terminal (22) of the field-effect transistor. A filter (24) is provided to eliminate undesirable mixing products. <IMAGE>
