In an inking unit for a printing unit, the distributing roller shafts (96, 128) are driven in the axial direction for the purpose of engagement by a drive lever (122) via axial bearings (114-118; 146-150), while the drive in the circumferential direction takes place via positive-fit connections which have in each case an axial spring (104; 130) and pairs of rollers (106, 108; 132, 134) which interact with the side surfaces of said springs and are supported by roller drive wheels (100, 140). Two application rollers which interact with the final distributing roller can be placed against the inking unit separately via associated pressure medium cylinders, the latter being attached in each case adjustably to the inking unit frame. <IMAGE>
