PURPOSE:To prevent a rotating magnetic disk from flopping and to perform stable high-precision and high-density recording by providing a main magnetic pole support with a convex curved surface and an auxiliary magnetic pole with a concave curved surface facing the convex curved surface, and arranging a non- magnetic pole in the opposition space formed of both curved surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A thin film 23 with high magnetic permeability is sandwiched between nonmagnetic supports 24 to constitute the main magnetic pole 25; and the supports 24 have the front flat part 28 and rear flat part 29 of the main magnetic pole nearly parallel to the rotating magnetic disk 21 and the front end part 30 of the main magnetic pole is formed into a convex curved surface connecting with both flat parts. The auxiliary magnetic pole 26, on the other hand, is made of material with high magnetic permeability; and the concave curved surface 31 of the auxiliary magnetic pole formed facing the convex curved surface of the front end part 30 of the main magnetic pole and the front and rear flat parts 32 and 33 of the auxiliary magnetic pole are arranged oppositely in parallel to the front and rear flat parts 28 and 29 to form the space where both curved surface face each other. |
