An insert lining layer, corresponding to the shape of a shoe, is fastened on one side of a foam layer of virtually the same size and shape. A back-lining layer or ply is fastened on the other side of the foam layer. The edges of the layers or plies are fastened to one another. Slip control between the insert lining layer and the foam layer is achieved by stitching in the form of a closed loop which is arranged completely on the place adapted for receiving the ball of a foot. The loop stepping has two extensions which in each case extend from one end of the loop to the edge of the layers or plies at a place between the heel end of the layers or plies and one end of the loop. <IMAGE>
