The main material feed aperture of a coin operated machine can be closed by a hatch (8) or door with a lock (9) operatively connected to a coin input slot (10). The lock only permits the hatch to be opened after coin insertion. Between the lock (9) and the coin input (10) is a computer (1) to which is coupled a unit (17) which gives to a user or customer a unique code when a usage time commences through the insertion of a specific sum of money in the input (10). - A keyboard (13) is provided for feeding the code back into the computer, and the computer on the one hand will release the lock (9), permitting the hatch (8) to be opened when the real time transpired between issue and return of the code is the same as or shorter than the reference time corresponding to the initiation payment. On the other hand, the computer can hold the lock secured when the real time exceeds the reference time. |
