Method of production of a quinoprotein dehydrogenase from a suitable cell culture, characterised in that, the production of the said quinoprotein is stimulated by the treatment of the said culture with a stimulator, and wherein the stimulator is an alkane and in that said culture is grown in the presence of a non-ionic detergent. The specification further discloses a method for the production of a quinoprotein from a suitable gram-negative bacterial cell culture, characterised in that said culture is grown in the presence of a non-ionic detergent. The methods of the present invention enable these enzymes to be manufactured in gram quantities in a relatively pure form. |
