PURPOSE:To reduce the number of transmission lines down to just one to simplify the connection between devices and to transmit plural faults with high efficiency, by transmitting the fault detecting information after converting it into a multi-value current signal in combination with a fault detecting switch and a current limiter. CONSTITUTION:Plural current limiters 10-12 are connected to a power supply 1 of a fault detecting/transmitting circuit, and fault detecting switches 7-9 which close when a fault is detected are connected to those current limiters respectively. These switches 7-9 are connected to a receiving circuit 13 via a single transmission line 3, and signals 14-16 separated from the circuit 13 are delivered. The limiters 10-12 limit the currents supplied to the circuit from the power supply 1 at different levels, and these currents are set different values by open/close combinations of switches 7-9 and supplied to the circuit 13. The different currents are supplied to the circuit 13 by a single transmission line 3, and signals 14-16 separated from the circuit 13 are delivered in response to plural faults. |
