A two terminal resistance circuit has a first transistor (T1) having its base connected to the output of an amplifier (2), its collector connected via a first feedback device (3) to the non-inverting input of the operational amplifier and to the first terminal (K), and its emitter connected via a second feedback device (4) to the inverting input of the amplifier (2) and via a first resistor (5) and a common potential or an auxiliary supply voltage to the second terminal (earth). This circuit is particularly useful in measuring where a known resistance is required to be inserted in a circuit to be tested. In the past discrete resistive elements have been found to be unreliable and inconvenient. The circuit of this invention is especially advantageous at high current intensities. <IMAGE> |
