<p>A regenerator system for a furnace (F) having a pair of elongated regenerators (12, 13) through which intake air and exhaust gases alternately pass, the system comprising an input manifold (20, 21) to each regenerator having branch ducts (22, 23) spaced along and connected to its regenerator, an output manifold (30, 31) for exhaust gases for each regenerator having branch ducts (32, 33) spaced along and connected to its regenerator, separately operative valve means (27, 28 and 37, 38) in each of said branch ducts of both manifolds, and separate reversing valve means (24, 25 and 34, 35) between said input manifolds and between said output manifolds. <IMAGE></p> |
