PURPOSE:To carry out the high-speed spinning of short fiber sliver or roving mixed with an adhesive fiber under moistening and drafting, without causing end breakage, by adding a specific amount of a polyalkylene oxide (monoalkyl ether) to the wetting liquid. CONSTITUTION:A short fiber sliver or roving 1 mixed with adhesive fibers is predrafted in the predraft zone 2, moistened with wetting liquid supplied from the gyrating water nozzle 6, subjected to the falset-wisting by the false-twisting nozzle 12, dried and wound. In the above process, a high speed wet spinning at a speed of >=100m/min can be achieved by adding <=1wt% of a polyalkylene oxide (e.g. ethylene oxide) or its monoalkyl ether having an average molecular weight of >=500 to the wetting liquid. EFFECT:The winding of yarn round the roller and the end breakage can be prevented, and a high-strength untwisted yarn can be manufactured at high speed. |
