Novel substituted N-phenyl-N'benzoylureas and their use as insecticides and acaricides.

The invention provides, as new compounds, the N-phenyl-N min -benzoylureas of the general formula

wherein R and R1 are each independently a hydrogen or halogen atom, a C1-C4 alkyl or halogeno C1-C4 alkyl group; R2 and R3 are each independently a hydrogen or halogen atom or a C1-C4 alkyl group; R4 and R5 are each independently a hydrogen or halogen atom, or an alkyl, halogenoalkyl, alkoxy, halogenoalkoxy, alkenyl, halogenoalkenyl, alkenyloxy, halogenoalkenyloxy or alkynyl group; and wherein R6 is an eventually substituted phenyl or 2-pyridyl. These compounds are useful as insecticides or acaricides.
