PURPOSE:To obtain a plurality of diodes at a time by a method wherein many pairs of two stripe grooves in parallel to each other are formed on a pair of holders put together doubly, a pair of lead members are inserted in a pair of the stripe grooves while both ends are projected respectively, light emitting elements are fixed respectively on both the projected ends, thereafter the lead members are cut to two by removing them from the holder. CONSTITUTION:Many stripe grooves with the stripe grooves 10 and 11 as a pair are formed on opposed surfaces of one and the other holding pieces 3a and 3b of the holder 3 put together doubly, and a pair of the lead members 2a and 2b are inserted therein by projecting both ends, and are clamped with the holding pieces 3a and 3b. Next, one sides of these lead members are bent, thus arranging the tops 9 and 6 of each in a row, the light emitting element 20a is fixed on the one top 6, which is connected to the other top 9 by means of a gold wire 18. Afterwards, the elements 20a are molded with photo transmitting synthetic resin 21, the holder 3 is broken up, and thus many lead members having light emitting elements respectively at ends are obtained.
