PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which permits bright coloring, has uniform electrostatic chargeability, permits high speed continuous copying and obviates the generation of drop-out, ground contamination, etc. by incorporating a specific colorless metallic complex compd. as an electric charge control agent in a toner. CONSTITUTION:A toner contg. a metallic compd. expressed by the formula I (A, A' and B, B' are the groups expressed by formulas II-VII, Z is H, halogen, NO2, C1-18 alkyl or alkenyl, n is 1-3, R, R' are C1-4 alkyl, X, X' and Y, Y'' are -O-, -(C=0)-, -S-, -NH-, -NR''-, R'' is C1-C4 alkyl, M is Cr or Co and Fe, K<+> are H, Na, K, NH4, aliphat. and alicyclic ammonium compd. as a colorless electric charge control agent together with a binder, a coloring pigment is prepd. The long-life toner which has optional bright coloring property and uniform negative electrostatic chargeability, forms an excellent image and permits high speed developing and copying is thus obtd. |
