[Also in Division B3] A tubular sheet-metal gas burner tube 14 is provided with one or more rows of ports by a piercing operation (see Division B3) which also produces upwardly or downwardly projecting tabs 36. The crosssectional area of the tube may be reduced by taper inwardly embossing or by flat or V- shaped baffle-plates, Figs. 11, 12 and 13 (not shown). The inclination and the projecting depth of the tabs may vary over the tube length to compensate for variations of gas pressure in the tube. The burner may be assembled in a. heating unit comprising inner and outer casings 12, 10, a gas supply conduit 20 and an air baffle 24. |
