PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of machining accuracy from occurring, by comparing measured values at level measurement positions on a machine with previously measured and stored reference values and adapting an alarm to be given when the measured values exceed the reference values. CONSTITUTION:A saddle 5 is shifted to a measurement position 1 by an NC apparatus 14 in response to a command from a sequencer 12. Measurements are made there by level sensors 9, 10 and the measured values are subjected to AD conversion to be stored in storages X1, Z1 in the sequencer 12. Then the saddle 5 is shifted to another measurement position 2 and measured values there by the sensors 9, 10 are stored in storages X2, Z2; and measured values at still another measurement position 3 are stored in storage X3, Z3. At the comparison of the stored measurement values and preset values as reference level values, an alarm 17 is actuated to give an alarm when at least one measured value exceeds the reference value, whereby deterioration of the machining accuracy is prevented from occurring. |
