PURPOSE:To relieve defective elements and improve yield by making bit length of a basic transfer pattern that constitute a map loop or a marker loop longer than another data loop. CONSTITUTION:The map loop 2' has pattern form made by similar and enlarging the basic transfer pattern of another minor loop 1, and has a bit period of 12mum as against a bit period of 8mum of the minor loop 1, and a gap between patterns is formed to the size of 1.5mum as against a gap between patterns of 1mum of the minor loop 1. This map loop 2' has the same number of bits with that of the other minor loop 1, and has a bit period and a gap between patterns of basic transfer pattern. Accordingly, the loop has a folded closed loop and has a loop longer than the minor loop 1. Out of 4,000 such memory elements, only 0.6% of map loop became defective loop. |
