PURPOSE:To attain long observation at a high magnification by fitting a lens- barrel to the bodytube of an equatorial telescope through supporting legs in parallel and fitting a balance weight on the opposite side to form a binoculars. CONSTITUTION:The left lens-barrel 3 is supported horizontally on the top part 2 of the frame 2' of the equatorial telescope, the right lens-barrel 7 is arranged in parallel through the supporting legs 5, 6 and the balance weight 8 is fitted to the left mirror tube 3 on the opposite side against the right lens-barrel 7. In the supporting legs 5, 6, annular bodies 5B, 6B are coupled with the points of horizontal rods 5A, 6A, and if a screw B is moved back and forth, the position of the lens-barrel to the center of the annular body 6B can be corrected and the position of the lens-barrel to the centers of the annular bodies 5B, 6B can be also corrected. Eyepieces having various focal distances from low magnification to high magnification are replaced and the lens-barrel can be corrected by moving the correcting screw until the equatorial telescope is focused as the result of the observation by both eyes. |
