PURPOSE:To obtain a fast dye image not discoloring and not fading even during a long term storage by incorporating a specified compd. in a layer having a dye image formed on a support. CONSTITUTION:A layer having a dye image formed on a support contains a compd. represented by the formula in which A is phenyl optionally substd. by at least one alkyl group having 9-36 total C number. An effect of preventing discoloration and fading of a cyan, magenta, or yellow dye formed from a dye image forming coupler can be enhanced remarkably by incorporating a dye image stabilizer of said compd. in a layer having a dye image, and further, darkening discoloration and fading of a cyan dye can be prevented. As the method of incorporating the dye image stabilizer in the dye image, the stabilizer is added in advance to one or all of the photographic layers in which cyan, magenta, and yellow dye are formed by color development in the constituent elements of the silver halide color photosensitive material. |
