PURPOSE:To execute exactly a press work without damaging a metallic die and to prevent generation of a defective product by pinch-holding a material to be worked placed on a die by a punch, and hitting the punch by dropping a weight from the upper part. CONSTITUTION:A material to be worked 20 is placed on a die 3 fixed to a die holding base 2 of a press machine body 1, a ram 6 is lowered through a rod 9, an arm 11, etc. by an operation of a fluid cylinder 7 connected to the body 1, and the tip of a punch 4 fitted to the ram 6 is made to press-contact with said material to be worked 20 and is pinch-held by it by pressure to the extent that working is not generated. At the same time, a detaining member 17 is lifted through a rod 16 by an operation of a fluid pressure cylinder 15, and a weight 14 is lifted up to prescribed height, and is held at its height by a locking member 18. Subsequently, a solenoid is electrified and operated, holding of said locking member 18 is released, impact is given to said ram 6 by dropping the weight 14, and working is executed to the material to be worked 20 by applying pressure by the punch 4 and the die 3 by its hitting force. |
