PURPOSE:To avoid a system fault of a CPU by shifting the contents to be stored in a block in which a fixed fault is generated to other block, and executing a conversion of an address, following said shift, by use of an associative register. CONSTITUTION:An access of a control storage device 14 is executed by the contents of an address register 11 through an address register 12 and an associative register 13, and the read-out contents are written in a control storage data register 15. Subsequently, when an error is detected in the storage contents read out of the register 15 and it is caused by a fixed fault, said contents are written in a substitute control storage block by a service processor 2, converted contents of a block address are registered in the register 13, and the conversion is executed. In this way, when an error exists in the contents read out of the device 14 and it is caused by a fixed fault, the contents are shifted to the substitute control storage block, and the address is converted by the register 13, by which a system fault of a CPU can be avoided. |
