Novel anthranilic acid esters having the formula: …… wherein R1, R2 and R3, which may be the same or different, are each hydrogen, chlorine, methoxy or methyl and X is a straight or branched alkylene chain having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, show activity in the suppression of inflammation and in particular as anti-inflammatory agents, blood platelet aggregation inhibitors, and prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors.
