PURPOSE:To raise the durability and corrosion resistance of an ink jet nozzle by subjecting the ink jet nozzle to an electroforming process using a nickel-plating bath withot a brightener. CONSTITUTION:When reference is made to the compositions, as shown in the attached table, of electroforming nickel plating baths containing saccharin as a brightener in terms of the rigidity, the higher the concentration of saccharin, the higher the Vicker's hardness and the residual stress become. By subjecting an ink jet nozzle to an electroforming plating bath of low saccharin concentrations, the development of cracks in the nozzle during the manufacturing process can be prevented, and leakage of liquid can be prevented. Therefore, the durability of the ink jet nozzle can be raised. |
