摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a hub section from being broken or scattered by fitting a halved sleeve to the outer periphery of a scraped hub section in a wheel having generated stress corrosion cracking. CONSTITUTION:A wheel 2 having generated stress corrosion cracking is cut with a gas burner, etc., the outer periphery of a hub section 6 is cleanly finished by a lathe work, and a halved sleeve 7 is fitted to it so as not to protrude outward from the outer periphery of the hub section of an adjacent wheel 2. This is required because a pressure adjusting plate (corresponding to a diaphragm) is fitted to the outer periphery of the sleeve 7 and fins are fitted between the plate and the sleeve so that no steam leaks out. Thereby, a centrifugal force is reduced, and even if cracking occurs scattering can be prevented. Since a low pressure turbine rotor for nuclear power is polluted with radioactivity and can not be carried out of a power plate, this method is particularly useful.
