PURPOSE:To make simply and quickly a continuous and automatic inspection of the moisture content possible by utilizing a moicrowave. CONSTITUTION:A GHz frequency microwave from a Gunn diode 4 of a microwave oscillator is irradiated to a moisture containing material 10 to be inspected such as an activated sludge etc. in a transport pipe 1 passing through a waveguide 3 and an irradiation window 2. The microwave is absorbed to the material 10 to be inspected in accordance with its moisture content. Accordingly, the continuous and automatic inspection of the moisture content is performed simply and quickly by detecting the microwave reflected from the material 10 to be inspected by a detection diode 7 of a detection pipe 6. The same inspection is performed by detecting the miscrowave transmitted the material 10 to be inspected 10. |
