PURPOSE:To obtain a clear-cut transfer printing having excellent chemical resistance and excellent durability by a method in which a resin layer I having a heat resistance and a dyeability is formed on the surface to be printed of a metal, ceramic, etc., a transfer printing is made on the resin layer, and a transparent aqueous resin layer is provided on the transfer printing. CONSTITUTION:A resin layer I , having a heat resistance and a dyeability, to be formed on the surface to be printed of a metal, ceramic, etc., is obtained by coating, drying, and heat-treating a solution or dispersion of a resin, e.g., polyester resin, polyamide resin, polyacrylic resin, etc., having a high heat resistance during transfer printing and good dyeability in an organic solvent, etc., as needed. A transfer printing is made on the resin layer I by a well-known transfer printing method, preferably a sublimative transfer printing method, and then a transparent aqueous resin of polyacrylic resin, polyurethane resin, melamine resin, etc., is coated on the printed face to form a resin layer II. |
