This precast concrete block comprises, in the mean plane defined by two principal lateral faces 2, 3, two ribs 8, 9 concerning two adjacent sides and two corresponding grooves 10, 11 provided in the other two, so as to enable the precast concrete blocks to be fitted together. Cavities 12 are made between the lateral faces 4, 5, the wall of each of which, approximately in the mean plane, being oblique so that the thickness of the intermediate covering (shell) increases from the rib 8 as far as the opposing lateral face, providing a sufficient quantity of material on either side of the groove located on this face. <IMAGE>
