The invention relates to a system of occultation from the outside of veranda roofs produced from structures made from aluminium. It comprises two spindles 5 made from aluminium tube to which is attached a fabric which is wound onto the upper spindle which is connected to a winch manoeuvred by a detachable handle. The lower spindle moves translationally on the edge rafters by means of rollers 4 which are retained in the rolling grooves by a folded metal sheet acting as an anti-derailing slide. The spans can be increased by means of a two-start spindle and by means of a sag compensating roller. One of the main applications of the invention resides in the non-creation of a hot surface in the region of the roofing panels by obtaining an air cushion exterior to the roof. <IMAGE>
