Optoelectronic camera and method for recording, using this camera, the profile of a cross-section of a cavity, and installation for the implementation of the method. The optoelectronic camera comprises a rotating disk 24 centred on the optical axis of the lens 21, at least one photosensitive strip array 25 comprising a plurality of charge transfer photosensitive elements 125 and positioned along a radius of the disk 24, a device for measuring angular position 40 capable of transmitting electrical signals representing the successive angular positions of the strip array 25, electronic circuits 100 allowing a serial transmission of the electrical signals emitted by all of the photosensitive elements 125, and means of recording the various electrical signals emitted in order to process, in a digital manner, information corresponding to the image scanned by the array 25. Application in particular to the recording of a object which is illuminated and scanned by a light ray. <IMAGE>
