PURPOSE:To realize highly reliable inter-cell connection while to produce small and light weight enclosed lead battery under high productionability by making the positive plate side high to enable flow-in of fused lead to the lug of negative plate and welding the lug of plate while inclining. CONSTITUTION:When placing plate group in cell chamber of battery jar, each lug section 5 of positive and negative plates is exposed directly. When collecting them to one portion through a zig splitted into two, it exhibits such shape as shown on the drawing and since the lug section 5 of positive plate 3 is longer than that of negative plate 4, it will project partially onto the zig 8 while the inclination angle will go larger than that of negative plate to cover the lug section of negative plate. Inclination angle theta of positive plate lug section will vary in accordance to the shape of welded portion and welding method but 5-30 deg. will be sufficient. |
